"I kept coming to your website before I decided to make the purchase. Boy am I glad I did. My travertine looks just as good as it did before we applied the solution and the traction is so much better!"

Using the Slip Resistant Solutions Ceramic Tile Floor Treatment Product on swimming pools and patios that are outdoors will increase the coefficient of friction and help to avoid slip and fall accidents.

We get so many phone calls asking how to fix slippery travertine floors or slippery travertine tile on a pool deck. Travertine is a truly beautiful surface but around a pool or on an outdoor patio it can be very slippery.

Travertine belongs to a larger family of stone called limestone. Marble is also a type of limestone that has had additional heat and pressure applied to it by the earth's crust. Travertine is formed by minerals dissolving in ground water and then being deposited on the earth's surface by rivers, natural springs, or geysers.

The beautiful colors that travertine comes in result from iron compounds found in the earth's surface.

Travertine can be finished in four different ways. Polished travertine is very shiny.... and very slippery when it is wet. It can also be matte finished or brushed or tumbled. The brushed or tumbled have more texture.

Travertine can be treated to make it have a greater slip resistance. To treat Travertine Tile you will use the Ceramic Tile Floor Safety Treatment.

If you plan to use a sealer after treating with our slip resistant products, be sure that you use a penetrating sealer and not a topical sealer.

Complete instructions will be included in the package.

Testimonial

The tile that was laid on my outside walkway and 3 porches was extremely slippery when wet, creating a terribly dangerous condition. It was going to cost about $5,000 to demolish and replace. I found SLIP RESISTANT SOLUTIONS on the internet, ordered it, and hired a contractor to apply it. I'd do it myself, except I am a VERY senior citizen.

SLIP RESISTANT SOLUTION was easy to apply, and certainly did what it said it would do, and did not change the appearance of the tile. I even received a phone call from the company to be sure I was satisfied with the final results. Amazing in this day!
