Many of the floor treatment products that are shipped from Slip Resistant Solutions will come with a neutralizer included in the shipment.

The neutralizer is mixed with water at a rate of 1 Tablespoon per quart of water. Usually our customers use a pump sprayer to mix and apply the neutralizer to the surface. After the Slip Resistant Solutions Non Slip Floor Treatment has been on the surface for the determined amount of time, the neutralizer is then sprayed over the surface of the treated tile or floor surface.

This neutralizer comes with the product and is applied for several reasons:

The most important reason for using neutralizer is that the neutralizer stops the chemicals from working on the surface by neutralizing them. It is important that the timing is exact and that floors do not get over treated. When the neutralizer goes on it stops the chemicals. By spraying over the surface in the same pattern that the floor treatment chemicals were applied it will assure you that all surfaces are treated for the same length of time.

Secondly, by neutralizing the chemicals, it will mean that disposing of the product will be safer. Many people just hose the chemicals and the neutralizer from the surface. If this is done then active chemicals won't be going into the grass or on plants. If the person doing the application is using a wet vacuum to clean up the chemicals then they will be inactive when he empties the vacuum. If a mop and bucket is used then disposal down a drain or toilet will be safer.

Another reason to use neutralizer is that it may be necessary to walk on the surface during clean up. It is much better to walk through neutralized chemicals than to walk to active chemicals. It is important not to track active chemicals onto other untreated surfaces. Neutralizer can be used to spray the bottom of rubber boots or rubber soled shoes to be sure that there are no active chemicals on the bottom of the shoes.

When a customer purchases Non Slip Floor Treatment Products from Slip Resistant Solutions, Inc., the neutralizer is included in the price. It will be in the shipping box in a powder that will be mixed with water.
