Prior to the use of your products we experienced several accidents in which our personnel or students slipped or fell. Our floor is a terrazzo finish and is glassy slippery on rain and high humidity days. This product has worked beyond my wildest expectations! We have not had a single accident since it was applied.....William Harris, Principal, Largo Middle School.

Ever wonder how terrazzo floors are made? First, cement masons or terrazzo workers build a solid, level concrete foundation that is 3 to 4 inches deep. Second, after the forms are removed from the foundation, workers add a 1-inch layer of sandy concrete. Terrazzo workers partially embed, or attach with adhesive, metal divider strips in the concrete wherever there is to be a joint or change of color in the terrazzo. For the third and final layer, terrazzo workers blend and place into each of the panels a fine marble chip mixture that may be color-pigmented. While the mixture is still wet, workers add additional marble chips of various colors into each panel and roll a lightweight roller over the entire surface.

When the terrazzo is thoroughly set, helpers grind it with a terrazzo grinder, which is somewhat like a floor polisher, only much heavier. Any depressions left by the grinding are filled with a matching grout material and hand-troweled for a smooth, uniform surface. Terrazzo workers then clean, polish, and seal the dry surface for a lustrous finish.

This is truly beautiful but can be very slippery when wet.

Even when they are wet...they are not slippery!

Terrazzo can be treated easily with our Slip Resistant Products.

First the floor should be thoroughly cleaned and rinsed. Be sure there is no cleaner left on the floor.

Use the Slip Resistant Solution's Ceramic Floor Treatment. Follow all of the directions that are contained in the package.

This will mean that a small test area will be done first. This test area will determine the length of time that the product will be left on the floor. Usually this is around 3 to 5 minutes.

Then the product will be mopped onto the floor in small sections. After the proper amount of time the sections will be neutralized with the neutralizer that is provided in the package.

The area will be thoroughly rinsed about three times and the floor will be ready for use.

Testimonial

The tile that was laid on my outside walkway and 3 porches was extremely slippery when wet, creating a terribly dangerous condition. It was going to cost about $5,000 to demolish and replace. I found SLIP RESISTANT SOLUTIONS on the internet, ordered it, and hired a contractor to apply it. I'd do it myself, except I am a VERY senior citizen.

SLIP RESISTANT SOLUTION was easy to apply, and certainly did what it said it would do, and did not change the appearance of the tile. I even received a phone call from the company to be sure I was satisfied with the final results. Amazing in this day!

"I kept coming to your website before I decided to make the purchase. Boy am I glad I did. My travertine looks just as good as it did before we applied the solution and the traction is so much better!"
