HOW WE STOP SLIP AND FALL ACCIDENTS:

Many years ago, Jack owned a carpeting business in the Clearwater, Florida area.

While he was in the carpeting business he discovered the great need for someone to address the problem of slippery floors and especially slippery wet tile. He had many calls about slip and fall accidents

He researched to see what he could find out about making floors slip resistant.

That led him to the business of treating floors to make them safe. He established a floor treatment business that lasted more than twenty years! Each floor was a new experience. He gradually gained the knowledge of just how to make each different floor type safe and yet keep the beautiful appearance of the original floor.

He learned to treat all floors from concrete to the most highly polished porcelain. He developed products for each surface. He knew exactly which product to use for each floor type.

Some of the more famous names among his thousands of satisfied customers have been well known such as Disney World, where he treated all of their kitchens, Winn Dixie, where he reduced their workers compensation claims drastically, Carrabas, Hilton, Pinellas County Schools, Health Care and Retirement Corporation and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jack traveled all over Florida making floors safe, some in huge buildings and some in people’s homes. In 2007, Jack and I discussed the possibility of making his treatment products available to homeowners and businesses so they could have the safety of the floor at a reduced cost. This would reduce slip and fall accidents in homes and businesses as well.

He first envisioned a Do It Yourself product especially made for restaurants. Then the ideas started to grow.

As these discussions continued I was working at building web sites and becoming interested in the world of internet marketing.

We decided to form our own company. We would combine my knowledge of internet marketing and his knowledge of floors and the chemicals to make them slip resistant. We began to let people know about the availability of our products. I poured myself into building our web site and our business plan. Slip Resistant Solutions, Inc. was born of our ideas!

Jack decided that we should have a product for each different floor type. He narrowed the product down to three different types of safety floor treatment.

He also decided to market his Hard Surface Cleaner Degreaser to the public. He had only been selling this product to customers whose floors he had treated in the past. One thing that Jack learned to do during his 20 years in the business was to make bathtubs safer by using another form of his products. He had been treating bathtubs for retirement homes and hotels over the years as well. It occurred to us that everyone who has a porcelain bathtub could be interested in treating their own bathtubs to make them slip resistant. That is when we decided to market our Slip Resistant Bathtub Treatment. Our business grew steadily. Large hotel chains began to learn about our bathtub products. Our ideas continued to grow for new products as well. We made every effort to handle our customers with the kind of customer service that we miss in most businesses today.

Recently we have added some new products to the line that we carry. We have only the best non slip products for floors. We have added a non slip coating that works in situations where our original products will not work. These coatings are good for wood, fiberglass, plastic, vinyl, painted concrete, concrete and any floor that already has a topical sealer on it. I am so sorry to say that Jack passed away in June of 2010. I miss him every day but I have been continuing to run the business on my own. Jack taught me all about the non slip floor treatment business and I went with him on hundreds of jobs. Today, I can answer any question that might come up.The business continues to grow on a daily basis. We now have some international distributors as well. I know he would be excited to see how his business continues to expand.
